The BBBS School-Based Mentoring Impact Study: Findings and Implications for Policy and Practice
Presenter: DR. CARLA HERRERA, Senior Policy Researcher, Public/Private Ventures
Dr. Herrera has extensive experience and expertise in youth mentoring, publishing several reports on school-based, community-based and group mentoring over the past eight years and is the director and principal author of the current BBBS study.
Description: This session will describe and discuss results from the large-scale random assignment impact study of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters school-based mentoring program, recently completed by Public/Private Ventures. Dr. Herrera will provide participants with a unique opportunity to learn about the study's findings and their implications for program practice.
